Welding & Fabrication Supervisor

Company requires a Welding & Fabrication Supervisor with 3 to 5 years experience in mechanical assembly and metal fabrication to supervise a team of 6 to 8 welder / fabricators. Candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to organize staff and their work assignments in an effective manner while working safely and efficiently. Candidate will be required to work cooperatively with other supervisors and support staff.

Requirements include:

  • CWB Welding Ticket; ability to obtain CWB Welding Supervisor ticket if required
  • Experience in reading, interpreting and understanding shop blue prints
  • Forklift Operator's license
  • Experience and training in overhead crane operation
  • Training in general shop safety

  • Perform duties as specified by work order, blueprints, sketches or charts

Machinery Designer

Due to growth over the past several years, we are currently seeking a full-time Machinery Designer to join our Design Team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting of project equipment layouts from engineering preliminary design
  • Preparing standard and custom shop assembly drawings
  • Drafting flat and formed part drawings
  • Revising drawings to assist fabricating team

The successful candidate must have training in and be proficient with AutoCAD. Certified Mechanical Engineering Technologist or equivalent work experience or graduation from a Drafting program is preferable.

Candidates should also be skilled in verbal and written communications, practical problem-solving, be self motivated, analytical and detail orientated. Experience in sheet metal layout and assembly drawing are definite assets.
